T20 Final's Day washout (again!)

T20 Final's Day washout (again!)

9 Sep 2024

Once again, the NCCA T20 Final's Day at Chester Boughton Hall fell foul to some awful weather on Sunday.

Having tried over two days back in May, Oxfordshire, Cumbria, Berkshire and Staffordshire reconvened at Chester but to no avail.

Following glorious weather on the Friday and Saturday with four teams and officials etc travelling to Chester on the Saturday night, there was never a chance of playing the two semi-finals and final.

A toss was undertaken for the first semi - with Cumbria winnning over Oxfordshire - and eventually a second toss saw Staffordshire prevail over Berkshire. However, the rain didn't relent and there was never a chance of then playing the final.

We await confirmation that the trophy will be shared for 2024.
