Staffordshire's T20 win over Cheshire at Nantwich not only gave the visitors two points but they also retained the Bailey Gill Trophy.
The trophy is a fairly recent innovation between the clubs, played for whenever they meet and set up by a stalwart from each side - Cheshire's David Bailey and Staffordshire's Peter Gill. Both represented their counties for a number of years and have remained good friends.
Unfortunately illness prevented Cheshire President, Bailey attending but he sends his best wishes to his friends at Staffs (through gritted teeth!).
Cheshire Chairman Jim Law handed the trophy to Peter in David's absence.
