Derbyshire prevailed in this ECB Showcase T20 match which served as a useful warm up session for the start of this year's Vitality Blast (Derbyshire face Durham at Derby on Friday).
Harry Dearden led the Cheshire side at Nantwich - the ground looking a picture.
And fresh from a century at Lords, Derbyshire included ex-Cheshire opening bowler Ben Aitchinson in their XI.
Batting first, Derbyshire piled on the runs. Caleb Jewell made an unbeaten 93, Matt Montgomery retired on 45 and Martin Anderson hit 31. Luke Young took an impressive 4-26.
Cheshire managed 142 in reply with Gennaro Reddy top scoring (56) and Henry Dobson 45 not out.
An enjoyable game in front of a decent mid-week crowd gave Derbyshire the opportunity for decent practice ahead of the summmer's T20 and the chance for Cheshire to pit their wits against first class opposition.
Cheshire have now faced Warwickshire, Yorkshire, Lancashire and Derbyshire (twice) since the ECB Showcase games were introduced in 2022 and the programme looks set to continue next year.
