Day 2: Cheshire 119 & 19-1, Oxfordshire 424-8 dec (Cheshire 3 points, Oxfordshire 8 points)
Cheshire have it all to do as they closed day two in the gloom and rain at Thame, needing 297 to make Oxfordshire bat again.
Having been dismissed for 119 and starting the day 100 behind, Oxfordshire piled on the runs on a day cut short by rain.
And to make matters worse for the visitors, Zac Perren - who ground out 20 on debut - suffered a broken hand in the field.
Luke Hayes (67) and Hayden Rossouw (72) added 147 for the second wicket before George Tait hit a fine 80 and Ed Litvin added 56.
Further runs from the tail saw Oxfordshire run up a mammoth 424-8 before declaring.
With a couple of stoppages for rain in the afternoon, conditions deteriated as Cheshire started their second innings in the dark, the hosts restricted to using slower bowlers. As the rain then started, disaster struck for Cheshire as Tom Hafil was dismissed for lbw before the umpires led the players off the pitch.
Day three gets underway at 10.30am weather permitting.
