Day 1: Cheshire 119 (53.3 overs), Oxfordshire 219-3 (55 overs). Oxfordshire lead by 100
Scorecard and video highlights
It was a tough day for Harry Dearden's young Cheshire side at Thame on day one with Oxfordshire, closing with a deficit of 100.
A much changed eleven included debuts for Tom Hafil, Zac Perren, Seb Botes and Alec McCloughlin.
Winning the toss and batting with a new opening pair of Luke Young and Hafil, Young fell early on but Hafil and Perrin set about seeing off the new ball attack.
With runs at a premium however, the bowlers took the upper hand as the visitors slipped to 62-5, Perren battling hard for 20.
Late resistance from McCloughlin (23) and Owen Feakes (19) saw Cheshire eventually dismissed for 119. Prav Chahal took 3-13 while Ed Linton behind the stumps took six catches and a stumping.
An early wicket rose spirits as Oxfordshire lost Jamie Harrison with just six on the board but by close of play, the hosts had compiled 219-3 to lead by 100.
