VENUE CHANGE: Staffordshire v Cheshire, this Sunday at Checkley

25 Apr 2024

Cheshire are due to get their T20 campaign up and running on Sunday (28 April) away at Staffordshire in a game switched to Checkley CC.. Directions here

Once again, it's a 'double header' with matches to be played at 11am and 2.30pm. As tradition dictates, the first game will also be played for the Bailey/Gill Trophy (currently held by Staffordshire).

Poor weather across Staffordshire and Cheshire has caused havoc with local cricket and we're grateful for the work that's gone in to rearranging the match.

Sam Perry takes the reigns for the T20 campaign and is set to lead out a young side in a tournament Cheshire have traditonally done well in. Last year poor weather restricted their opportunities for progressing to the group stages.

In 2024 the format has changed with five groups of four. The winners, runners up  and next two best sides will qualify for the 'Super 12s' which will see three teams compete at four venues across the country to determine finalists.
