A much changed Cheshire side fell to an 84 run defeat in their first KO Trophy match at Manor Park near Norwich.
A large crowd at Norfolk's base watched on as the home side won the toss and batted first on a pitch making you work hard for runs.
A much changed Cheshire side - due to Bank Holiday unavailibility - saw Moorside's Joe Cooke debut aIong side Neston's Matt Strong and Alderley Edge's Ben Kohler-Cadmore.
It was steady progress for Norfolk, the first boundary not being struck until the tenth over with Rob Lord and Luke Young bowling impressive opening spells.
With the prolific Sam Arthurton and Ben Curran dismissed at 39-2, Cheshire tails were up until a third wicket partnership of 121 (Ben Wilcox 59, Alfie Cooper 76) steadied the ship. Freddie Fairy added 33 to produce 238-6, considered as 'par-ish' by the locals.
Young took 2-35 with a wicket apiece for Cooke and Jack Williams along with a spectacular direct hit run out from seventy yards by Young.
Kohler-Cadmore set off like a house on fire with a brisk 23 but the reply faltered as Cheshire lost regular wickets.
A wagging middle order brought some hope as Pat Ashling made 38, Young 25 and Lord 22 but the visitors finally fell well short on 154 to lose by 84 runs.
Andy Hanby's medium past took the plaudits with 5-33.
