Wiltshire 146, Cheshire 49-2
Cheshire completed day one of their home fixture with Wiltshire at Alderley Edge trailing by 97 runs with eight first innings wickets remaining.
A truncated day with an hour and a half lost in mid afternoon saw the visitors win the toss and bat.
Ben Gibbon (5-43) was in devastating form, bowling 22 overs for his five wickets, Dave Wainwright taking 2-30.
Wiltshir estruggled from the off although Chris Aubry (40) and Ben Draper (35) bolstered the middle of the innings, adding 71 for the sixth wicket.
Tahir Afridi and Matt Burton looked lively as Calum Rowe and Henry Dobson led the Cheshire reply but when BUrton struck twice in two balls to remove Rowe and Rick Moore - both lbw - Cheshire were on 25-2.
However, Dobson and skipper Rob Sehmi saw Cheshire through to an early close when bad light intervened, leaving them on 49-2.
Play resumes on Monday at 10.30am
