Cheshire 451-8 (90) & 15-3 lead Berkshire 334-9 (90) by 132 runs

Cheshire closed  a topsy turvey day two against Berkshire in the ascendancy but ruing a poor last session with bat and ball.

Resuming on 58 without loss, the visitors worked hard to muster 334, a late flurry ensuring a full batting points. Cheshire however let 67 runs slip in seven crazy overs after tea vying for points - finally getting that last bowling point in the last over.

With a lead of 117, the batting then misfired with Sam Perry, Ali Chughtai and Rob Sehmi dismissed cheaply in the gloom, chief tormentor Luke Bevan causing havoc with 3-5.

Earlier David Wainwright (4-95) and Andrew Dufty (3-87) were in the wickets for Cheshire with runs for Imran Malik (76), Euan Woods (52) and Charlie Dunnet (50).

The weather caused several delays throughout the day and is likely to influence the final day which gets underway half an hour earlier at 10.30 with the game in the balance.

In the other Western Division 1 game, Cheshire's chief rivals Dorset are 128-3 requiring an unlikely 506 to win.
