Rob Sehmi hits 108, 93 for Jackson, 89* for Wainwright as Cheshire hit 451-8
Rob Sehmi returned to lead Cheshire as they took on Berkshire in their penultimate three day Western Division Championship game at a sun-drenched Nantwich.
Sehmi, back after suffering a broken finger against Herefordshire, passed keeping duties to Will Evans but shone with the bat as he hit a fine 108.
Ali Chugtai (41) and Sam Perry (37) got the hosts off to a solid start before Sehmi took over. As the runs flowed, David Wainwright steered the latter part of the innings, ending unbeaten on 89 and Andy Jackson smashed 93 - including an astonishing twelve 6s and a four. Cheshire finished their 90 overs on 451-8.
By close, Berkshire had scored 58 without loss.
The game resumes on Monday at 11am. Admission is free at Nantwich and all are welocome.
