Bowdon youngster Joseph O'Brien took 5-34 from 5.1 overs with skipper Josh Leach and Ben Wright taking two apiece as Cheshire 2s carried on their impressive form to beat Shropshire 2s by 115 runs at parched Bowdon.

With Andy Dufty stepping down to coach alongside Gavin Colebourn, his and Nick Brook's side continue to impress with several players pressing for first team recognition.

Batting first, Cheshire posted 281-8 from 50 overs (Zak Rogers 59, James Dodds 52, Ben Wright 47) with further useful contributions across the side. Aryan Dash took 4-52.

Shropshire got away to an impressive start, Morgan Ward shining with 67 but when he was seventh out, the reply fell away for Cheshire to claim the victory.
