2022 NCCA Fixtures confirmed

2022 NCCA Fixtures confirmed

4 Nov 2021

T20, KO Trophy and Championship games for 2022 have now been confirmed with the NCCA and the season will follow the same format as 2021.

In addition, the ECB's Showcase game (cancelled in 2020 and 2021) will again be played but at a weekend rather than midweek.

T20

Last year's truncated season saw the T20 tournament cancelled due to Covid. Next year it's back from late April with Final's Day on Sunday 22 May.

There are four groups of five, Cheshire are in Group 1 and games will again be played on a 'double header' basis.

Cheshire will be at home to Shropshire and Cumbria and away to Staffordshire and Northumberland.

KO Trophy (50 overs)

Running from 29 May with a final on 29 August.

Again, five groups. Cheshire compete in Group 3 and host Norfolk and Suffolk. Away games are at Cambridgeshire and Shropshire.

Championship - Western Division 1

Following the introduction of relegation and promotion last year, Herefordshire replace Wiltshire in Western Division 1. The winner of the group will face off at the end of the season against the Eastern Division Champions.

Cheshire are at home to Oxfordshire - current champions - and Berkshire. Away fixtures are with Herefordshire and Dorset.

All venues will be confirmed shortly.
