Unicorns Championship, Western Division:
Cornwall CCC v Cheshire CCC
Sunday - Tuesday 19-21 July 2015, St Austell CC

After the excitement of last week's T20 win, Cheshire return to three day action in the Unicorns Western Division with the long trek down to Cornwall.

Such are the vagaries' of three day cricket that the players will travel to St Austell after they complete their league games on Saturday night.

Danny Woods returns to the helm for the trip south with a side that sees a couple of changes to the last outing at Grappenhall which due to bad weather meant only 49 overs were possible.

There's a debut for Cheadle spinner Will Holmes who has impressed with his club this season and a return for Hyde's Danny Berry.

Jimmy Warrington - one of three Nantwich players in the side - looks to renew his new ball partnership with Adam Syddall after being left kicking his heels last time out whilst the rain fell. Warrington last played for the County over two years ago before 'overseeing a major family expansion'.

James Drummond is unavailable and Harry Killoran injured.

Woods' Cheshire side currently sit seventh after a defeat, a fine win in Wales and the frustrating rain affected game with Dorset.

Cornwall have seen a resurgence and after two wins, sit top of the ladder with a narrow lead over Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

Woods is just keen to get back in action again. "We're delighted to introduce the exciting young talent of Will Holmes into the side," he said.

"Obviously Cornwall will be a very tough challenge but we're all looking forward to the trip. Hopefully we can continue the momentum from our win in Wales and from last week's T20 success."
