The Second fixture was a two-day match against Shropshire Development XI, played at Tattenhall C.C. on Wednesday and Thursday, 1st and 2nd of July.

On the first day, each side played for 50 overs with Cheshire opening and scoring 214-9, with local player Glenn Coppack scoring 68. Shropshire replied with 169-9 in their first innings with Jack Williams and Danny Williams each taking 3 wickets.

It was agreed that Shropshire would bat first on the second day, starting 45 runs in arrears. They went on to score 170 all out in 48 overs, leaving Cheshire a target of 126 with plenty of time in hand. Unfortunately, with Cheshire on 22-0 off 3.2 overs heavy rain brought an end to play for the day so the match was drawn.
