One change for squad as Cheshire host Cumberland

Harry Killoran (above) replaces the unavailable Will Evans

Cheshire look to get their 2014 K.O. Trophy underway as they host Cumberland at Neston on Sunday.

Following last week's washout with Northumberland at Jesmond, skipper James Duffy will be hoping for better weather at the picturesque Parkgate venue.

Duffy makes one change to the 12 that travelled north with 16 year old Harry Killoran coming in for the unavailable Will Evans. It's likely Gareth Cross will be behind the stumps.

The skipper will decide on his final 11 on the morning of the match with a choice of playing the extra spinner or seamer.

Gary Pratt's Cumberland got off to a winning start in their first match with a convincing 115 win over Lincolnshire and are likely to include Grappenhall's Liam Parkinson in their side.

Skipper Duffy is keen that his young side get up and running in the Trophy. "We've not had great success in this competition in recent times," he said "and we're desperate to get going after last week's poor weather. We've got an exciting side this year and they're eager to prove themselves."

The 50 over a side game gets underway at 11.00 am at Parkgate. Admission is free and refreshments are available.
