Better news from Bramhall
By Derrick Hastings

Following an immense amount of work by Richard Cragg and other members of the groundstaff at Bramhall, two games were played and completed on the pitch over the weekend.

Previously, there had been a real concern over the difficulty of draining the pitch caused by problems with the mains drainage system near the ground. Read the report.

By hiring a pump to empty the Bramhall drainage system it was possible to prepare the ground for the weekend matches which went ahead without any problems.

As long as there are no more very heavy downpours, Bramhall feels confident that the pitch will be in a suitable condition to be used for the coming Cheshire v Herefordshire match on Sunday.

Any developments in the situation will be posted on this web site. More information can also be obtained by contacting the Hon. Secretary, Derrick Hastings, on 01606 889059 (Home), 07989 114691 (Mobile) or by sending him an e-mail.
