Cheshire...and the Joy of Six!

By Jim Law

There may be no National Counties cricket for Cheshire in 2020 but we're delighted with the progress of past players. No fewer than six represented first class counties in the first round of Bob Willis Trophy matches.

Close to home there's Rob Jones, George Balderson (both of whom came through the Cheshire Youth System) and Danny Lamb in the Lancashire side facing Leicestershire, while the opposition includes Harry Dearden.

Elsewhere Jack White is showing his spurs for Northamptonshire against Warwickshire and finally Ben Aitchison is debuting for Derbyshire against Nottinghamshire.

We're proud for all of them and send our best wishes.

Cheshire and National Counties Cricket is proud to play its part in the cricket pathway.
